Design Hub: from a scenario to a development task
I built a local tool linking user stories, design work and team questions. Changes made after a manual Jira transfer are flagged separately.
Try the exampleDemonstration reconstruction. Original designs and data are under NDA. These interactive examples were made for the portfolio: layouts, names, values and diagrams have been changed. They explain the decisions without reproducing the product.
One story and its linked decisions
Mark it as transferred, then edit the story to see the difference flagged.
Demonstration reconstruction · fictional data and a new layout. All actions are local.
User story
Criterion: missing service data is shown separately from station status.
Draft
Separate the user outcome from design work
A story describes the user outcome, boundaries and acceptance criteria. Its linked task describes the remaining design work. I built this structure in a local Hub with AI so the scenario and layout can be reviewed together.
Give each question context and an owner role
Unknown rules stay as questions: what we need to learn, why and which role to ask. Shared questions live at the appropriate level instead of being copied into every task. A drawn state alone does not become a confirmed requirement.
Keep the boundary with Jira explicit
Transfer is manual. The Hub remembers the transferred version and flags subsequent edits for updating in Jira. The team tracks work status in Jira; the local tool prepares and compares materials. The tradeoff is a separate transfer step.
Outcome
The team uses tasks prepared in the Hub. The tool retains cards, relationships and transfer state. A reduction in returned tasks has not been measured.
Other stories
The map: find a station, then use a service
I separated station status, zones and service access, and designed search, connection parameters and data requests with explicit error and retry paths.
Local components and layout checks
I used AI to assemble components and find discrepancies. I made structure and correction decisions in the context of the product.
A map prototype: search and panel in action
I build demonstrations from layouts so the team can walk through a complete flow, from opening the map to selecting a station.
Explain the network through a slide sequence
For an exhibition presentation, I structured a story about the network and an additional V-RS layer, paying particular attention to what the map claims.
